Ross Castle Lodge is an ideal central base to tour the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, outer Killarney and the Ring of West Cork (the Beara Peninsula). Staigue Fort is a several-thousand-year-old fort and is one of the stops you can make on the Ring of Kerry. Or if you would prefer to leave your car behind, tours can be arranged at Ross Castle Lodge. |

Ross Golf Club is only a short walk from Ross Castle Lodge. Other golf clubs are a short drive away
For the hiker, there are several trails in the area. The McGillicuddy
Reeks (a mountain range containing Irelands highest mountain) are close
and many hikers also walk the Old Kenmare Road, an 8 mile trek through
wonderful scenery.
